1. French Toast (Pain Perdu)

A classic French breakfast dish that uses stale brioche, turning it into a delicious treat.

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of brioche

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Butter for frying

  • Powdered sugar, maple syrup, or fresh fruit for topping

Instructions:

  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla.

  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter in it.

  3. Dip the slices of brioche in the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides.

  4. Cook the slices in the skillet for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  5. Serve with powdered sugar, maple syrup, or fresh fruit.
